From the initial concept through to the design and completion of the building works, this project has been a comprehensive journey to create a functional structure that seamlessly integrates into its natural landscape. The challenge lay in achieving a minimalistic design while ensuring the building fully met operational needs. Central to its functionality is an extensive mechanical system, including hydronic underfloor heating, ducted air conditioning, and a sizeable heated pool, all of which underscore the building’s sophisticated infrastructure. Remarkably, all mechanical plant services are discreetly concealed beneath the structure in a subfloor basement, accessible via a hydraulic hatch on the deck, ensuring the aesthetics remain uncluttered.
The interior and exterior finishes have not been overlooked, with lime washed blackbutt wood used for both wall and ceiling linings, reflecting a commitment to detailed and high-quality finishes. The pool is not just a functional element but a centrepiece of relaxation and entertainment, equipped with LED lighting, underwater speakers, and efficient heating. Additionally, the building features large steel doors with double glazing to enhance insulation and energy efficiency. A custom sauna further enriches the building’s array of luxurious amenities, making this project a pinnacle of architectural and engineering excellence, where every detail is meticulously crafted for both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
